Friends of the Mercer Island Library

The MIFOL's book closet is bursting at the seams.

Sherri Stanley has scheduled a boxing party for Monday, January 23rd from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The donations have been strong enough (Thank you!) that “the book closet is now packed to about a chest high depth,” she reports. “I’m almost afraid to put anything else in it as it could very well cause an avalanche!!”

Location: Large Meeting Room at the Mercer Island Library, 4400 88th Avenue SE, Mercer Island, Washington

Due to the April Book Sale, the Friends of the Mercer Island Library haven’t had to have a boxing party for awhile.  But the donations are rolling in and so it is time.  (Thank you to all who have been contributing books.)

So, Sherri is organizing a boxing party for this Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Yes, it is Memorial Day weekend, but we are hoping that enough of the Friends will be around to lend a hand to clear out the closet.  ”I do love an empty closet!!” Sherri writes.

We always appreciates hearing from our members and volunteers whether you can make it or not to the Boxing Party.  So please email Sherri (sherri.stanley1 (at) gmail.com) about whether or not you will be able to come to the party.

Sherri plans to be at the library when it opens at 10:00 a.m. to set up, so if you are welcome to arrive early.
