Author Sara Zarr to Make Virtual Visit to Mercer Island Library on April 12th

Meet National Book Award Finalist Sara Zarr for a virtual visit at the Mercer Island Library on Tuesday, April 12 at 7pm.

Sara is the acclaimed author of three novels for young adults: Story of a Girl (National Book Award Finalist), Sweethearts (Cybil Award Finalist), and Once Was Lost (a Kirkus Best Book of 2009). Sara’s fourth young adult novel, How to Save a Life, will be published in October 2011.

Sara will be answering questions generated by Online Teen Readers with the guidance of the Mercer Island Teen Advisory Board about writing and the creative process. Come with your own questions to ask, too!

SAT Prep with Sandweiss

Sunday, March 28, April 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2010, 2-5 p.m.

Get ready for the SAT with the first of five classes taught by Sandweiss. Each participant receives an Official SAT Study Guide. The series includes three prep sessions, a practice test, and a review of test results. This class is free!

Participants must register for and attend all five sessions.
