January 25th is New Date for Friends of the MI Library Annual Meeting

Due to the winter storms, the annual meeting of the Friends of the Mercer Island Library has been postponed to Wednesday, January 25th at 3 pm at the Mercer Island Library.

At this meeting, officers for 2012 will be elected and the 2012 budget will be reviewed and approved. In addition to the annual meeting, there will be a regular meeting of the Friends with reports from the officers, committee chairs, and the branch librarians.

The meeting is open to all. However, only members of the Friends of the Mercer Island Library will be able to participate in the election and votes.

Friends of the Mercer Island Library 2012 Annual Meeting on January 19th at 3 pm

The Friends of the Mercer Island Library will be holding their annual meeting on Thursday, January 19th at 3 pm at the Mercer Island Library. At this meeting, officers for 2012 will be elected and the 2012 budget will be reviewed and approved. In addition to the annual meeting, there will be a regular meeting of the Friends with reports from the officers, committee chairs, and the branch librarians.

The meeting is open to all. However, only members of the Friends of the Mercer Island Library will be able to participate in the election and votes.

As there are winter storms predicted for mid-week, if it snows the meeting will be postponed. If this does occur, we will post information about the rescheduled annual meeting here on our website.

July Meeting of the Friends of the Library Changed to August 4th

Date and Time: Thursday, August 4th, 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Location: Large Meeting Room at the Mercer Island Library, 4400 88th Avenue SE, Mercer Island, Washington

Due to summer travel, the July meeting has been postponed from Thursday, July 24th to Thursday, August 4th. The meeting will be held at 3 p.m. in the large meeting room at the library. All members of the community are welcome to attend.

Meeting of the Friends of the Mercer Island Library, May 19th

Location: Mercer Island Library, 4400 88th Avenue SE, Mercer Island, Washington

On Thursday, May 19, 2011, the Friends of the Mercer Island Library will have a meeting at 3:00 p.m. in the large meeting room at the Mercer Island Library. In addition to discussions about this year’s book sales and programs, there will be a discussion about the Friends’ special program for Mercer Island’s Summer Celebration event.

In addition to discussions about this year’s book sales and programs, there will be a special presentation to John Gray, who has been a long-time member of the Friends and most recently served as vice president of the organization.

Friends of the Library Meeting on November 18th at 3:15 p.m.

Our regularly scheduled meeting of the Friends of the Mercer Island Library will be held this Thursday, November 18th in the large meeting room of the library at 3:15 pm. The Agenda will include a review of the funding requests for 2011 being made by the library staff.
